Any body has a spare $1500.00 they can give. At the MAAM's WWII weekend you can book a ride on the B-29 Fifi. Now that would be an experience of a lifetime!
Check out the line up for the show in June.

Ouch, and I thought $400 was a lot of money to fly on a B-17

If you can afford it, and If you're gonna spend that much, you might as well spend an extra $350 to fly up front

I've only seen the Collins Foundation B-17 advertised for rides.

Believe me, if I could I would spend the $1500.00 to go up in a Boeing B-29 in a second. The cost to just start the engines on that let alone taking it up are astounding. Between the insurance and maintenance cost to fly it, if anything breaks you just can't go to your friendly B-29 store and buy parts. The cost for the Collings Foundation to fly their B-17 is $2500.00 an hour. I can't imagine what a B-29 cost.

Considering this is the last flyable B-29, I would assume maintence costs are through the roof.
I may ask this for my next five birthday and Christmas presents though.

So.. who already knows which day they'll be there?
Not me, but I don't want to miss this one.
As for over a grand for a ride in a WWII bomber... not for me. I could have a lot more fun in a WWII
trainer
for that kinda money!

I'll definetly be there. I'm not sure which day though. My mom wants to go also because she likes warbirds, and my dad.. well my dad loves aviation in general.
I told my dad about the B-29 ride and he was actually considering it.
I really only want to see her fly. 8)

Cool; Saturday will most likely be the best day for me also.
And yes, I know all about the local Texan (and Stearman!) rides... might do that this summer.
