I was wondering what planes are a must have to download from this great site.  I realize that there are alot of designers out there and I hope I don't offend anybody by asking who seems to master the add ons more so but I don't have alot alot of hard drive space to try them all out.  I definately love the ww2 era so I am looking at some bombers and fighters.  thanks in advance...

Bumbme I"m not going to tell you wich plane or designer is better. But I will tell you that you have over one thousand planes to chose from. Half the fun is to down loud them and tried them out your self. You make your choice then.

Be grateful that you have so many to chose from.

Chech this post.

i was hoping for some personal favorites.  i didn't want to offend anybody on the work they put into the aircraft.  i know if i were to design anything, i would not even know where to start as far as getting it close to the real thing.  i just want to find the closest thing to realism that i can versus the latter.  thanks again for the quick response.

What! Rebuffats Spitfire. It seem to me bit bias by the look at that picture.LoL

Just kiding, They are one of the best Spitfire in our Hobby. What can you say about his Bf109.They also one the best. What ever happen Thickos planes. Any plane that Thicko makes take. Infoseek and any upgrade by B24guy just down load. There are just to many good planes to give a favorite list. There a few planes that are not well developed but I perfer for you to test them and find out for your self.

When I wrote to be gratefut, I was not meant for you but for all of us including my self. I hope you did not take that wrong. We are lucking as communitty that we have such a large group of talented designers that are dedicated to this Hobby.

Most of all I recommend for you fly for every Airforce and with as many planes as possible and most of all to have as much fun in the process as possible.

One last advice. Watch your six at all times. Good luck on you next mission.

Thats a order. LoL

I want to see you posting here and not hear that you where Shot down some where in the Pacific or in Europe.LoL

No Ozzy72. I can not say I flown that plane. Is it in his Website because I have never seen it. I will check it out. If I can not find it I will appreciate it if you help me. Any plane from that era or almost any era I will fly and test.

Thank you for the advice.

just another question here... i was wondering if the aircraft operates like the real thing with the add ons or is it an eye candy thing?  are the add ons able to work with other versions of flight sims from microsoft or do i have to download the proper plane for the proper game?  i just seen that this sim is no longer flying in the zone so where is everybody flying now?  thx again guys... im trying to get back into flying.

Greetings,
I will put in for a shameless plug.  Have a look at any of my designs(Aircraft Simulators) or DieStaffel planes.  I have designed them in AF99(CFS1) but adapted them for CFS2, allowing easier frame rates.  The planes have been built well enough for CFS2 as flyable planes, but they are also great for AI combat.

Have fun

Bub,

FDGV2 are finishing up their B-17s. They should be up at donationware.net in a few days\weeks. Although not freeware, they're MUCH cheaper than any FS2004 payware.
