Thanks Pigeon for the great heat blur tutorial! Gave it a go tonight on some old pics...
Results of my first efforts: comments and helpful criticism welcome.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks!
I don't, I feel bad for my passengers... I posted that one back in August 05, I collided with him just before (my) rotation, my Jumbo immediately decellerated to a crawl (god knows what it did to the pax), and he just taxiied off oblivious, not a scratch. I had crashes 'on' as well
Bloody Moomin drivers. Er, Mooney.
I'm sure there's something I can improve with these, but reasonably happy... can't seem to get the right 'wobbly look' or work out how to get stronger by the engine and weaker further out, because the damn program's in Czech, maybe my wife'll be able to help.
Anyway, thanks for the comments! And thanks again, Pigeon!

Great edits! I especially like the colour-tones!
And a friendly piece of advice... never ask a woman about "wobbly bits"... that just always goes wrong!

You can get the effect by making a low overcast then putting some other patchy cumulus below that. At least, it works for me.
I darkened the sky in photoshop too, of course, to add to the glowering effect...
Cheers for the comments, guys!
