...well...

I'm playin Holiday in the Talent Show with my band (The Screamin Eagles Grin) and can't stand Green Day, anymore, Roll Eyes...

However we make it sound good.  A couple of my friends think that they're stupid and don't believe me that we make it sound good.

What are your thoughts about the metal headed crazy ones (thats Green Day, just a hint Grin)? Wink

I ike them, their new stuff is really good, better than the old IMO. I saw them live once and it was such a terrible performance that I couldn't listen to them for several months after that, but I'm over it now. Wink

I only liked them before they became so commercialized. Stuff like Minority and others on their early albums I couldn't get enough of. Now, it's "Eff Bush this, screw society that". Meh. Undecided

I think to that they have commercialized too much.. If it's anti bush songs you want try NOFX! but I do think they've started a larger movement towards rock which is good! I like songs on both new and old albums though..

I think they represent everything that is wrong with rock.  I cannot listen to them for more than a couple of seconds.

Minority is NOT their early stuff. Try listening to the Nimrod album, it's their best in my opinion.

I'm sorry but not even Nimrod is the early stuff, that was their first pop album. They lost the whole punk or even rock thing a while ago. I just see them as pop these days and that doesn't mean I don't like them. Insomnia was their last rock album Brain Stew kicks arse.

I saw them at milton keynes too and they were good.

There really isn't such a thing as non-comercial punk and there never has been. The Sex Pistols were created as artificially as the many pop-idol acts you see today. I suppose the New York Dolls or Ramones were as close as you would get to that.

To use the adjective "metal" when describing this commercial rubbage, is just a plain sin.
there hasn't been any metal since the 80's  Wink
Although Maiden is still about playing it the way it is meant to be played, off the radio Wink
