THIS makes me want to cry.  A panorama of the world of Oblivion.  I have been waiting for this game for years, and in a couple of weeks, it will be out, and that screenshot just makes me want to get in and explore the world even more.  This is the reason I got and XBOX 360 (along with Halo 3). Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Check it out. Wink Cheesy Smiley

I too am very anxious for this game, probably one of the only 360 titles I will run right out and buy, (all the 360 games I currently own I found on ebay for much less than the $60.00 retail price.)

The 360 is anything but a "lame console".

In my useless oppinion the last good Console was the N64 Period....... I have a N64, Sega genesis (2 actually) SNES, Computer, NES and I love em all, These new consoles dont seem to appeal to me, I grew up with consoles with Contra and street fighter, now..... I dunno why I hate em, They just lost their 'touch' in my oppinion! Nothing can beat a good computer to me I guess, The PS2 is my current favorite if I had to choose, the Xbox has good graphics and a decent controller, but I am not a console fan anymore..... cheers, Gunny

Runs great on the 360, flawless, smooth and beautiful, could be one of the biggest games in quite a while, having a great time with it so far.

As am I, I haven't played a game this much in a loooong time. It says I have already invested a little over 10 hours in it since Monday night.  Wow, I should really do some homework sooner or later. Grin Wink

can you tell me a little bit about the performance... and the system you use ?

Several guys at work bought it for the PC and all I heard about was issues with installation and downloading patches, I haven't heard anymore since Tuesday, but at that time they weren't able to play it or uninstall it, I don't know if they resolved the issues or not.

I got it yesterday. Had some graphic glitches in the beginning
but after a driver update no further problems occured (so far).
I´m possitively surprised how well it performs on my system
(3000+, GF6600). I can run it somwhere between medium and high details.

The game itself seems to be a masterpiece !!

I was bitten by a vampire while I rested, since I didn't take care of it right away I have become a vampire myself, this has totally changed the game for me, now my quests all revolve around finding a cure for vampirism, I can't go out during the day or I die, which means I can only travel at night, this sucks because I can't see the awesome landscape.
I didn't want to be a vampire, I guess if I would have took some cure disease potion the first day I would have been okay, this has really screwed my gameplan up temporarily.
35 hours so far, and I haven't seen much of the world at all, and I haven't even started the main quest, now as a vampire a lot of people won't talk to me and I have a hard time doing much of anything involving shops since they are open during the day when I have to sleep or dungeon crawl.

Cool isn't it.  I had something similar happen.  I had a horse that I have been riding around for quite a while, and it was rather handy, but just a while ago, I was riding through the forest and I encountered a troll, and killed it, then a little farther down the road, I encountered another two trolls, and since I couldn't take two trolls at once, I ran, and I got quite far until I found a guard to help me with the trolls, so I jumped off my horse and we killed all four of the trolls, only afterwards did I discover that the trolls had killed my horse during the fight.  So I was angry and all ready to reload to get my horse back, but then I realized, that that is how the game is supposed to be, and it was rather cool.  I love this game.   It's great how everyones game is different depending on what path you choose, all the guys I know who started this game at the same time I did are experiencing totally different things, this is the way games should be, certainly not the typical 8 hour linear crap that has been coming out recently.

I agree..... I have around 40 hours in it, completed the entire mages guild stuff, some fighters guild things, Dark brotherhood...... a few 'private' dealings.... wow..... surely is amazing and better than morrowind, many things stay the same but its a lot better than these recent 10 hour games.... if it takes me 1 or 2 days to beat a game (playing 5-10 hours straight) its too short, 4 days on oblivion....... Amazing game, anyone know if it will have expansion packs like Morrowind did? cheers, Gunny (Nowhere NEAR finished)  Roll Eyes

130 hours now, so much to do it's hard to follow one path, everywhere I go on the map I have tons of business to take care of, most of which leads to more quests, un believable how big this game is.
Now I've been playing FFXI online for the 360 (started with the beta) so trying to juggle these two HUGE games has been quite interesting and loads of adventuring fun.

Wow! Sounds like a cool game!  8)

I'm still buizzy trying to complete Morrowind with all the expansions! ( Shocked )

I wish I didn't go to the elderscrolls site, because this game really puts Morrowind to shame and I'm really looking forward to play Oblivion!

A friend of me already plays it on a fairly old computer, but on 640 x 480 it still looks better than Morrowind! LOL

It's really great, I have around 77 hours in it (same amount of time I have in a C172, but I've only had oblivion 4.5 weeks, and I've had my license for 2.5 years Tongue Roll Eyes), and over 1300 saves Shocked (I figured it a save ever 3.25 minutes Grin).  Oh well, so much to do, so little time....Wink
