Full News:

North Star Sun is pleased to announce the start of operations. The first flight departs Monday 6th March, our A310 operating NSN556K from Newcastle to Palma. Our charter services operate 2 x Airbus A310 and 2 x Airbus A320 on routes from Edinburgh, Newcastle and Nottingham East Midlands. We are working alongside a leading travel agent to offer cheap holidays over Europe and the US.

North Star Sun's Airbus A320 routes from Edinburgh and Nottingham East Midlands will commence on Monday 13th March.

The Livery: Above, is a picture of the North Star Sun livery on our A310.

-- Staff Changes --

Tom Smith, the Vice CEO of North Star Airlines has taken up the role of CEO for North Star Sun. We beleive that we can increase the efficiency of the airline, if there is someone with less work to gain more work with a larger job. We have our full confidence in Tom and hope he enjoys his new job.

-- Staff Comments --

Mike: "I beleive that a new era in aviation is coming. It is wise to start early, and that is exactly what we are doing. We understand that charter airlines are not full all year round, therefore we are using the next generation in technology. We use Airbus aircraft, both varients (A310 and A320) because they are not 'fuel hungry'. We are working alongside a leading travel agent to provide as great a service as we possibly can.

Nick: "The amount of passengers trying to escape from the typical British weather is at an all time high. Due to this factor, many Charter Airlines are cramming as many passengers in at any one time to a flight. We are not like this, and we stand strong by saying 'We are the best charter airline around today' With 32" legroom in our A320's and 34" legroom in our A310's, we can provide an extremely comforatable environment."

Tom : "Charter Airlines provide the destinations that are most popular with passengers because of the various holiday resorts they serve like Bermuda, Nassau, Orlando Sanford etc. Also they provide destinations that are not the normal routes for pilots who fly regularly on scheduled routes. So these destinations make it interesting and amusing for both Passengers and the Crew. East Midlands Airport was added to the existing 2 Airports that North Star Sun will serve from with the Airbus A320, as this is an airport that is quite busy in Summer time with Charters so we are hoping to gain popularity with passengers on routes there as well."[/font]

North Star Airlines News

--CityConnect Fleet Change

- Due to a fault with G-CFLA and G-CFLB (Embraer 120's), we have had to contact the leasing company and they have ordered them to return immediatly. They told us that the aircraft were starting to get old and Maintenance issues were beggining to have an affect. We have been allowed to keep G-CFLC, because it is a newer aircraft. This aircraft will continue flights from Newcastle. We have negotiated a 'reduced' deal with the Leasing company to aquire 2 x Saab 2000's. These will takeover all Edinburgh routes.
