Hello friends, Vilik here.  I often use CFS2 like a real flight simulator, which is going to places flying diferent planes and just enjoying scenery...
One of the things that I have not been able to figure out is, how to get other planes in my formation to fly very close to me.  They fly miles away, in the same direction as myself.  But I would rather have them close to my plane so I can enjoy the beauty of some these planes, by just looking out of the cockpit.
Could you please instruct.
Thanks, Vilik.

May sound stupid but are you flying to the specs of the aircraft? In other words are you flying to fast?

I know if you just gun the throttle forward and go flat out then the wingman carry on flying to spec.

Hope this helps

mdl edit helps too. i found if ya set the fighters to 1 and bombers to 3. they fly tighter. using the split and rejoin commands simultaneously will "trick" them into coming in nice and close. makes for some interesting hops. hope this helps.

i enjoy long walks on the beach, yummie thai food, and obliterating my enemy's aircraft around them with a hail of bullets from 12 .50s. and/or a 75mm cannon.
