I'm not sure if this goes here, but anyway, At school today, I was playing football (American)  and I saw a US Coast Gaurd C-130 fly over the field.  I thought this was cool, and being the only one of my friends who knows anything about aviation, I thought it was a little strange, seeing how there is no air-base anywhere neer the school.  Then about 15 minuets later, I saw a really wierd plane.  it looked almost like the Beachcraft Starship (http://www.bobholland.com/fs/aircraft.htm), but the engins came forward off the wings a little bit.
Kinda cool

Remember the C-130 had a pretty significant range.

The day is always better when you're flying upside down.&&&&www.fight2flyphoto.com&&&&Canon RebelXT&&Canon 18-55mm&&Sigma 10-20mm F/4-6.3&&Sigma 100-300mm F/4-6.3&&Sigma 50-500mm F/4-6.3

USCG aircraft have turned up in some wierd places-I've seen a USCG Dauphin over my school, heading east.  I live about 20 miles to the northwest of Philly, so what it was doing in our area was beyond me.

Just goes to show the extent of the armed forces.

The other day I was sitting down in my basement browsing SimV and I heard a low rumble. Lo and behold, I go outside and it's a CH-53 Super Stallion with USMC markings. There's no USMC base around here, let alone one that handles CH-53's.

Isn't there a Coast Guard base in south Philly by the shipyard? Also there's one in Mays Landing, NJ and Cape May, NJ.
