... the headlamp bulb on my peugeot 307.  i cant for the life of me work out how to do it.  i cant get the connector off, so when i undo the clip, the bulb wont come out coz the connector is still attached.  i have tried pulling the connecter but it wont budge  Angry  does anyone know how to remove it.  many thanks,

Scott if it is anything like the old 205 connectors then you'll find that you have to push the bulb down and then twist it as it is like a bayonnet lightbulb connection which uses a spring to keep the bulb in place. It is a SOD! I don't know why Peugeot came up with this system.
Failing that I'd nip into Halfords and sneak a look at the Haynes Manual for the 307 Wink

Right, I actually cut both my hands last time I tried to change the headlight of my girlfriends 206... Took me over 30 minutes to remove one of the little suckers, only to find that the new lamp I bought didn't fit at all! There's this metallic connector at the base of the newer lamps, and the ones they sell in retail stores don't have those! They simply don't fit! So I had to reverse the whole procedure to reďnstall the broken bulb, before driving to the Peugeot garage... I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one who struggled with this...  Grin

Oh yeah... and never forget... RTFM!  Grin It's actually very badly described... lol ...  Grin

The beauty of Haynes manuals is the are designed for the home mechanic and have photos Wink
I even did a gearbox and clutch change on my Mk III Escort many years ago using nothing more than the Haynes manual and after a days very hard work it all worked fine and the thing ran like a clock for another 18 months (when another clutch change was needed) 8) And I'd never done the clutch, gearbox or any of a cars drive-train before Shocked

Sadly they are making less of those haynes manuals. Simple fact is new cars are being made to be almost impossible to fix yourself.
