At the moment this is a pretty vague idea, but I'm wondering if there are other people out there who might be interested in working on putting together a pre war era virtual airline? My idea is to start with somthing along the lines of recreating the original Pan Am transcontinental route (although probably using existing B314 models), and if succesful move onto some of the Imperial Airways eastern routes. Ideally I'd like to create somthing along the lines of what could have existed around late 1940 if the war hadnt have interfered, with both Pan Am and Imperial running around the world flying boat routes, with some land routes across the continents. I would prefer to do this as recreations of real airlines, but with one user interface than to make it a fictional global line, but this is a pretty basic idea at the moment.

As I said, my idea for start up would be to recreate the Pacific route to Manila, and from there move onto European routes. I would certainly like to add the Trans Canada Airways mainline, and am wondering if anyone knows of good Electra models?

Any comments, ideas, help, whatever is apreciated, just don't come in and say most VAs fail, I know, and don't want to do this unless I have people interested and a team that can do it properly.
