Has anyone else in the UK been watching this on Discovery Wings this week?  It would make an interesting challenge for an FS9 event  Shocked

I've done some web searching and there's plenty of info on the pilots and their planes, but not on the course itself - minor details like dimensions are pretty scarce.

I couldn't get the online game to run on my PC but I did find the Red Bull Copilot website which gives a typical race course layout - again, minus any dimensions.

Has someone put together a course in FS9 yet?  Did it work?

Cool idea!
I think with EZ scenery (which I have) there are pylons you can place. I'll look into it, and if i can, and you want me to, make the offical "SimV" course. I think this could work!

Not really, cause everyone would need Ez Scenery.

It would be fun, but we already have a SimV race.

Once the scenery is made, it's just a simple .bgl file that anyone can install and use.  You don't need EZ-Scenery at all to fly it.

I'm playing around with EZ-Scenery as well (been making hang glider race courses down the side of a mountain) but I'm still stuck in Washington because Abacus are taking forever to send me a registration key  Angry

Biggest problem I've found with the Red Bull Air Races is that I don't know how big the course is.  I'd like to make an accurate version of the real thing but there's not a lot of info out there.

OH! I thought Ez scenery was like rwy12 or FSE that you can easily make scenery but you need the object libraries to use it.

Yep, afraid it's a Sky channel in the UK.  The schedule isn't as good as last year - they often devote 1/3 of their time to cars and trains! - but every now and then things like Red Bull Air Race pop up.

I have my EZ_Scenery registration now  Smiley

Actually you might be right, people may need to download the library or they won't have the scenery files to use!  But the library is free to download.

Actually, I'll correct my last post.  The only bit of scenery you need is one pylon, which is then duplicated around the course.  So if someone creates that (I've no idea how to make scenery but it's only a truncated cone) then you don't need any other library files.  I'll post something in the scenery forum and see what's involved.

I believe there is a reno air race course with pylons, altough I found it EXTREMLY hard to find my way around it. You need some sort of pointer telling you were to go next.
Have you tried the game with internet explorer gryshank because it doesnt seem to work on mozilla firefox if your using it.You'll also have to download the active x thing.
