firstly:
This is the right forum for this topic (as its a multiplayer)

Secondly:
what you basically do is, find an aircraft that you would want to do a display routine in (within reasonable size limits), normally there is a thread made so you can let everyone know which aircraft you will be flying thus all the filenames and links to where you can download them are in another Page.

for any information the best people to ask would be Tweek and Cspyro21.

Hi there BAW,
Yup, Nemo's got most of it, except it was Tweek and I who organised it (and by the looks of things we may have to organise it again! Cheesy)

Anyway, we generally set up a few threads in this forum, one with rules, regulations etc, one with a signup form (you also post your aircraft here) and one with the programme of displays.

As for the location, this will probably change every time. Wink

And also to make sure you have atleast 3hrs spare as it can last quite a while  Grin.

but i hope there is another one organised as it was a load of fun, but there is one reccomendation i have to make:

Either someone host it or use a server that enables fs2002 users to take part.

Nemo......

Hey Nemo,
Yea, then we might all be able to connect successfully!
If you know of any FS2004 and FS2002 servers, don't hesitate to say, as I don't know any..... Roll Eyes

Of hand i don't, but when i get home tonight from work, i'll let you know of quite a lot.

if you have Fs hostspy then you can see quite a few of 2002/2004 servers, of which some are never used Cheesy

WS Pilots servers are amazingly easy to get into...
...but...
A problem always exists when ALL the WSP servers are occupied by existing fliers at the last minute, and it can annoy them if we suddenly crash into their running flight programs... Shocked...!

(It's a pity, really, that SimV hasn't got a few servers of its own for our own (personal?) use)...!

I imagine it must give real problems trying to give server details way in advance of the event, in the hope that it wont clash with someone else's event... Cry...?

Cheers Lads...!

Thats why it would be much easier if someone was to host the airshow on a private server, like Jared does with the US Tour, saves all the messing about with other pilots and providing the ports are open, normally goes along without a hitch.

A private server would be good, if we have anyone suitable to host it! I've always had problems with hosting servers myself, router or no router.

It was mentioned before that we could have themed shows next time, like WWII aircraft, classic jets, aerobatic aircraft, etc, etc. I've not really thought about it since the last show.

I've tried hosting games on Fs9 a few times, but for some reason the only game i can host is CFS2, would be handy if anyone wants to have a dogfight at sometime.

I can look into it, but the person to ask how to set up a server would Be Jared as he's been very succesful with the Us tour and he hosts it himself

I suppose, but it's really up to everyone what they would like. We'll have to make a poll on it.

Low and slow would get my vote!  Microlights and old biplanes, anything that routinely flies below 50KIAS.  I mean, I enjoy buzzing the crowd with Concorde at mach 2 just as much as the next guy, but the spectators don't get to see an awful lot.  Just a spot in the sky, something flashes past for 2 seconds, then it's a spot in the sky again.

At least with the old "wood, wire and fabric" planes (or their modern "carbon, aluminium and ripstop nylon" counterparts) we could actually see them flying around.

FS9 still has some serious limitations for things like airshows, hopefully FSX will be better.

That's why I used a Tucano for my solo display. It's hard to keep up with fast jets with F1View! .... though it depends how fast they're going and how close they are...
