Whenever I change my forum profile, it always takes a long time for it to go through and change it, and is pretty inconvenient.  Does anyone else have this problem?

Yeah, that happens.  I think it has to do with the server and the load the forum has and such.  So, nothing can really be done about it.  But, I can't imagine having to alter your profile that often-so I wouldn't worry too much about it.   Wink

Think that takes a while, try searching the forums. . .that takes a while. It is technology that was never made to deal with this amount of traffic. It still works, but certain functions are slow.

It does take a little time and the more people that are in and using the forums the slower it goes. Just one of those things...

"YaBB is the solution! BBS sytems were meant to be: Free, Beautiful, Fast, Secure, Easy to Install, Able to give you full Administrative Control, and Easy to Use with International Languages..."

And equally important, it points out the hyperbole of the above YaBB statement.
Anyone tried changing their avitar lately  Grin

Whenever I try to change my profile, the damned thing takes like 20 minutes before giving me that IE 'page could not be loaded' stuff. And I've been getting this for a looooong time.

i do two things to get around this.

1: i name my sig Drumline-sig.JPG so if i ever want to change it, all i have to do is rename my current file and upload. it will overwrite my previous sig. ditto for my avatar

2: i don' attempt to make a profile change until 10:30pm. members plummet from around 40-60 to hovering around 15-20.
