Wargames! "Is London Falling?"
A CCK Production
somewhat unrelated picture but it looks cool
Somewhere in Europe, Summer..1941
The object of the game:
Is for the Allies to "shoot down" all the Luftwaffe's fighter planes preventing the German 111 bomber from completing it's
bombing run over London City.
The bombing run consists of 10 targets, all along the Thames River.
The Luftwaffe Squadron (Schwarm) start from an undisclosed (zeecret) location inside occupied France.
The Luftwaffe consists of several Meschershmit 109's and Komets escorting a 111
bomber towards London City (see Map #4)
In addition to Spitfires, the Allies have one scout plane which may fly anywhere in search of the oncoming Geman invasion.
The Allied Spitfires must "shoot down" all Luftwaffe fighters before the
bomber completes it's run through London and reaches the Ocean shore (bombers flying time apx.
30 minutes) (see map #4 below for Bomber route and map #2 for the bombers finishing line)
Each pilot has 2 lives. Wing Commander Cspyro and Kommandante Klipklinck
have 3 lives.
A "kill" is designated by one plane getting on the enemies 6 (rear)
0.3miles
behind or closer and must count to 5 while maintaining this position. The victorious
pilot of this dogfight declares..(types on keyboard) "xxxx killed". xxxx being the name
of the pilot he just shot down.
The defeated pilot (after being "killed" the first time), must then land in
London City (EGLC) and shut off their engine, restart and take off again. The
second time a pilot is "killed", he must land again in London City (EGLC) and wait
out the balance of the Wargames.
If all Allied planes are defeated, The Fatherland claims victory, if all
Luftwaffe pilots are shot down, the Allies win the games. As a bonus the remaining allied planes planes may then find,
attack and shoot down the Bomber, (adding insult to injury).
The Allied scout plane cannot be attacked or shot
down.
The Allied Spitfires
must stay in the boundaries indicated in Map 3. Allied
pilots must not fly beyond the shores of England at any time
The Allied scout plane and Luftwaffe 109's are free to fly anywhere.
The Luftwaffe Bomber has a specific route and must stay on course. (See Map
4 for Bomber route)
The Technical Stuff:
All pilots must report to their respective Commanders Saturday February 18th
at 17:45gmt
Allied pilots begin in London City (EGLC), England and Luftwaffe reports to
Frankfurt/main (EDDF), Germany
We are using WSPilots WT server. Please make sure your appropriate ports are
open and firewalls are shut off..
You are not allowed to type "?planes" or "?where" at any time.
Please make sure you have all the required aircraft which are available in
the Wargames Aircraft post in MultiPlayer.
The "kill system" (on your opponents 6 , at 0.3 miles or closer for 5
seconds) is based on each pilots honour and truthfulness and I'm sure
everyone will comply with the rules.
If you have a slower computer, it is recommended you turn your FS9 display graphics way down as London City is a frame rate butcher.
All Luftwaffe pilots are requested to put the letters VON in front of their MP names before joining the session. "Von Clipper" as an example. This will make it easier for each side to identify one another in the heat of battle.
That's it...Let's go to war!!
