That's scary!  I see UPS planes on the approach all the time as well.  Glad to hear they're ok.

Reminds me of the time a freighter wiped out landing at KEWR several years ago (heard the crash, and watched that ugly column of black smoke rising... terrible sight); gives one pause when one lives so close to the runways. But in that case, too, the crew and a couple of dead-headers got out OK... thank the gods of flight that it was a frieghter and not a passenger liner...
I don't worry about it much: the vast majority of arrivals and departures go without a hitch... don't want to get all "Chicken Little"...
