Thats a darn shame. The developers have chosen to ignore half of Word war two. A Theater that covered one third of the World at that time.

That means that there will never bee a carriers Ops in CFS3.

Never say never James......

Maybe it'd be best to wait and see what these guys feel like doing next. They seem to be working chronologically from the stock CFS3, so maybe the Pacific would be the next step. You're putting them on the spot to ask for a timescale on the Pacific when they are putting their time into the Med.

These are many of the same people that developed so much of what is already available in CFS2, so it's not surprising that they would choose different things to work on. If you want to influence the next development then why not pick up the tools and start building?

I know Bear was anticipating your response, he has a wicked side Wink, but your tone is confrontational, comparing what will be in MAW with everything you believe should be. This isn't what they are working on at the moment. You'd be as well to criticise Marilyn Manson for not writing operas, or demanding a timescale for doing so, or condemning him for not committing to do so in the future.

Bear was showing his wares, let him. People don't need to 'remember that Combat flight Simulator 2 is the only one that will represent the Pacific Theater in its entirely'(sic), they know this already, and Bear wasn't claiming any different. You could say that CFS2 makes no effort to represent the battles of Star Fleet against The Borg, but that'd be pretty pointless as well.

I think it's great to provide constructive criticism on a work in progress, if it's all broadly within the theme of the topic. To tell someone they're working on the wrong topic is at best arrogant and at worst just plain rude.

Otis I"m sorry that  quote offended you. That was meant for another occation. Its was my mistake in posting it. That was from a previous post and a different issues that was dicussed a while back and in the CFS3 forum.

As for your comment that I implied that it  was a mistake to develope MAW project is totally erroneous. I"m very interest in every aspect of World two Aviation and MAW has been very poorly represented in the Sim world. So I"m very content that you pick the Mediteranean Theater as your next project addon.

This new addon will make our World war two experience more enjoyable. Now with all the upgrades done to CFS2 and all it can offer us we can together with other Sims available enjoy this hooby as we never thought ever possible in the past.

CFS2 offer those Theater that CFS3 cannot offer and the planes that are not available in other Sims. It makes up what other Sim cannot offer and vice versa. My point is for us to enjoy them for what they offer. Fly in every Airforce and with every planes available. Enjoy the Hooby with each other and particapate with whatever talent you may poses. But most of all respect each other all the time.

I want to thank all of you Developers for your contribution and dedication to this hooby.

Just remember this was a total World war and not a local war.

I'm not a developer, I'm a very light user.

I find your attitude strange. Why do you feel the need to keep reminding people of the context of the 'whole' war?

I've seen no evidence that anyone has made this mistake, just your assumption that they have.

To return to my previous, dubious, analogy; do you assume Marilyn Manson does not appreciate opera, just because he doesn't produce it?
