I really want to buy FSX when it comes out, but i heard its coming out on DVD-CD. Will it be able to work on my current CD drive for regular cds such as the previous FS games or do i have to buy a DVD drive?
Best Regards
John

DVD's can't be used with a regular CD-ROM, if that's what you're asking

If you have a newer PC it should have come with a DVD ROM.

I saw a DVD+RW on sale for $30 about a month ago. They're not that expensive anymore.

I can't think why you wouldn't be able to make room for a DVD-Rom on your computer. I used to have a regular CD-Rom and an old cd burner, but I simply took out my burner and replaced it with a DVD/CD burner

I think I payed $70 for my nice DVD/CD RW drive, and that was almost a year ago

Dude, one question?
Do you know anything about building computers? Cus
#1 I just got a Samsung DVD burner for $40.
#2 a DVD drive goes in your drive bay, not on your motherboard
#3 you would remove your CD drive and replace it with the DVD drive
Cheers

Have any grandparents or older relatives living close to you that can't (won't) cut thier own grass? I cut 3 yards a week, my grandparents and thier two neighbors' yards, $120 a week. Mind you, this is in Collingswood and the lots are approxamatly 100'x200'.

I'm on the Air Force Payroll [semi-monthly], so I don't have to mow any lawns either [unless it's a direct order].

Cheap combo DVD drives are plentiful out there now, so it makes sense to make sure you're equipped. More and more things are likely to be DVD only because of the sheer size and complexity of the software. Look at FS9 itself - 4 CDs. If FSX was released on CD, it would have to be packaged like a couple of Wagner operas!

Yeah mate, just buy a new drive!
My dad just bought a brand new DVD-(re)writer. It can do CD's and DVD's, double layered and double sided and it was only 50 euro's... that's about 55 - 60 bucks, right?
So how much would you have to pay for a DVD PLAYER? about $ 30? I don't know how old you are, but it doesn't seem like that much money... maybe you could ask one for your birthday?
