I know i'm getting ahead of myself; still haven't figured out why i can't fly in MP.
But... I've just been looking into Skype; probably gonna use it, and I thought: gee, wouldn't this be nifty for use in FS MP mode? Free (yes, absolutely free peer-to-peer calls, up to 5-party conference calls (still free),nothing to configure firewall-wise, encrypted, etc.)
Don't know about Skype? Check this out:
http://www.skype.com/
Now, those who
do
know: would this work with FS running? Anybody?

Teamspeak, msn chat are also good.
Teamspeak you can have loads of people on, and more people have it.
My system:
Intel Q6600@3.6GHz, Corsair XMS2 4GB DDR2-6400 (4-4-4-12-1T) , Sapphire 7850 OC 2BG 920/5000, X-Fi Fatality, Corsair AX 750, 7 Pro x64

Didn't know anything about them; just a thought.
I might still use Skype, though, for phone calls- they now have a version with video(no extra cost excet the bandwidth), and for free you can also receive incoming calls from users on ordinary phone lines ... unless it's international, the other party only pays for a local call. I'm always looking to streamline things, so I thought using one program for phone calls and MP comm would be nice.
But... sigh... for now I still can't fly online... MP page doesn't even display properly... I may have to reinstall FS9; been putting it off.

I use to use skype when flying online with friends, either FS or IL-2, but never more than 2 or 3. that's the point.
but it works perfectly, and is easier to use than TS.

lol, that's what the first few of my US tour flights were using for audio communications. The limit of 5 however soon overcame us and we decided to use teamspeak instead and can have many more people in the same conversation..
