I am building an XP-54 (FSDS V.2) but cannot get the prop to spin properly. It seems to freeze and try to run in the opposite direction. What adjustments must be made in the .cfg file ?

Sounds like one of the props (still, slow or blurred) has its axis backwards ?
(boy that sounds funny)
Or.. a typo in its name. If "prop_still" is named and axis-ed properly.. it will start to spin.. then if there's a typo in "prop_slow" it will display by itself, stationary (frozen).. then "prop_blurred" takes over (which kinda appears to spin backwards at first).. Which can really look weird if the typo-ed "prop_slow" is there...
Just guessing

if thats the case all he need to check is the pivot point on props to make sure they face the same way.
if he finds that there not the same he has 2 options .
delete the wrong prop and copy the correct one then move that in place of the wrong prop.
or adjust the pivot point on the wrong propto give him the correct pivot point on it

Thanks everybody for the reply. It was actually a stupid mistake on my part in labelling prop_still, prop_slow and prop_blurred. It's now working fine.

remember - you can't be considered an "expert" until you start making mistakes like that. Something's definitely wrong if ecerything comes our right the first time.
(Hint: Did you know that to get reflections in FS2004 you have to tick the "reflections" box in the Aircraft Display Settings?)

Thanks Felix. I agree. I only hope that it served a purpose for the other guys if they come across something like that in future.
