Allow me the privelage to ask you something. What is the one common trait for 90% of all GA based virtual airlines? I can very easily tell you:
They won't last. The management cannot hold out to allow it to grow, and that is one trait that the Improved SouthernAir will not fall victim to.
The Management team has a new addition, the VA has a new look, and we are ready to permanently change the VA community as we know it.
Do something for me. Run through the threads on this board, and check all the GA based VA's that are still in operation. You will find very few that had staying power. SA has staying power. We have the drive and desire to make our VA one of the best, if not the best in the VA community.
Most will note that we don't have a website. And the reason is that SouthernAir (or SA to those who are a part of it) does not waste valuable time building websites that only serve as useless eye candy. We have one forum that serves our needs above common standards. Our main idea is that if what we do is not making us better, then we don't care about it.
I will admit, things have been slow for us. But I will say this: I
strongly suggest that you get on the boat soon so to speak. We are coming up with cutting edge ideas all the time, and it is up to YOU to make a choice.
Sure, you can go fly with some other GA based airline that might be here in a month, or, you can come to SA, where you can be 100% sure that we will be around for a long time to come.
SA boasts a team specializing in creativity, and that team is constantly thinking of new ways to improve our group. We have missions flying all over the mid-south, ranging from Kentucky to Mississippi to Arkansas, and everywhere in between. Big airports, small airstrips. We even have a few missions going in and out of simple turf strips.
Now, I know that some may say I am throwing you a sales pitch. The honest truth is, I don't get paid to do this. I don't get anything for my time other than the satisfaction of knowing that I am fully endorsing a group of serious pilots that will be in the air for a long time to come.
There are some that may point out that flying in a VA is stupid, you spend time flying for free. Well, at SA, that is really not the case. When you fly, you earn credits. When you have saved enough credits, you can buy modifications to your airplane. Those modifications are yours, and they can be used at any time you want to. So in all actuality, SA does pay!
How would you like to know you have an airplane with a one of a kind custom engine, that you earned and all you had to do was fly for us? Yes, you could download a file, and tinker your own plane, but your results cannot be predicted, and you cannot be sure that it will be what you want.
With SA, we have a mechanic that specializes in engine tuning. Your flying time could earn you an awesome engine, built by a knowledgeable tuner!
SA is not some new fad to the VA scene. We are a force that has and will outlast many General Aviation VA's. Just in the length of time that we have been in operation, I have personally known of two somewhat well built VAs that have gone straight down the toilet!
SA will not waste your time, and we will not curl up and die. As long as we have one pilot willing to fly, we will be here.
The decision is yours, but I can tell you which decision is the smart one:
SouthernAirI Appreciate your interest in our group, and if you would like to join with us, just join the forum, and put in an application down in the Hiring Department. That's all! No emailing, no files to download, no hassle!
TNHunter,
SA Staff.
