Hey Guys and Ladies, I posted a request on the Reg FS Forum for FS9,   Would appreciate if you would check it out .   I think this "new scenery"  could be a BIG help for me as I stated earlier - - -  I  "FLY"  VFR and love exploring.    I do get real serious  [and love it] about my exploring.    I've been using Topos, compass, GPS and other nav-aids for many years w/real hiking & camping to JUST explore wilder ness areas.   Now I expand my areas to the WORLD.     Enough background. My Question is :   Has anyone tried the  "ULTIMATE TERRAIN - - -USA /   Canada &  Alaska ",     and if so- - - may I have your comments.     Sorry for being long winded.      Thank you very much for your help.            caveman

I have bought them in conjunction with FS Global and although they add some realisim in some places add to much.
With UT I find that I need to disable most of its features dur to it adding roads or streams in places they don't exsits such as the stream that runs under my hometown airport (KGKT) or the roads nearby.

Also none of the roads that lead to a bridge line up (they claim it is due to positioning in FS9, but the hometown airport isnt misplaced now just has roads and a stream running through it) you need to remove all the bridges you just finally got with the update

I find that USA Extreme Landscapes much nicer although it doesnt have the roads but with the misplaced roads in UT like it much better.

IMHO buy something else, not worth the price Wink

Uhh have you tried the newest virsion? All (well 90%) of those problems have been fixed. And with the USA rodes, and BEV my FS is more realistic than ever.

Cheers

Caveman,

If you love flying VFR, Ultimate Terrain is a must have.

I have UT Alaska-Canada & the USA!

For one thing, it defines all coastlines, rivers, land class, streams, roads, night lighting, rail systems, elevation, flattens roads on mountains, corrects misplaced FS objects, etc....

It is without a question one the "foundation" of my sim set up.

If you add Eddie Denney's REAL SCENE 38meter mesh for USA, & FSScene, your VFR flying will awesome!

If you want, take a look at some of my screenshots.
They all incorporate Ultimate terrain.

Some may only have a shot or two of UT but at least you get to see what it offers.
