Sidewinder not seen by CFS2 (Read 300 times)

I'm using the same gameport sidewinder joystick I always used in cfs2, but my game doesn't see it since I re-installed it yesterday. The joystick enable option is greyed out.

I haven't used CFS2 for a long time.

I have specs as per my signature and the stick works in all my other sims.

I'm using XP pro SP2. I've used this joystick before with the same setup, I can't figure out why this is occuring.

Anyone have a quick fix?

Have you tried re enstalling the joystick.I had the same problem with mine but it was windows XP not recognising the stick.Just pull out the usb,wait for a few mins,and put the usb back.With a bit of luck that should do it.Good luck. Richard. PS.If you have an installation disk with your joystick it mite be worth trying that to.

Never fly strait and level in the combat zone for more than 20 seconds,cause I,ll get ya.

Someone over at Sim HQ had the same problem with their Gameport joystick too, I'm not sure if they were able to find out the problem though.

Hope ya get it figured out.
