I guess I just tend to lump all of that stuff together: to me, proper navigation is barebones: after all, when all the electronic gadgets fail, one still has compass, chart and clock(although clocks can fail, too). that's why I immediately thought of Lindbergh...

Just goes to show how many ways of Navigating there were before GPS came along.
