I am making an addon for an aera, and I am adding roads using the taxiways in AFCAD. I have got the taxiways(roads) to look just like roads, but that isnt my problem. There is a highway that goes alonside a cliff, and whenever I cover it with the taxiway in AFCAD it flattens the hill. The airport is PAHN (Haines, Alaska). You would notice the road I am talking about right away if you went to that airport.
Is there a way to make the taxiway follow the ground level?
If Not it will work like this, but I am trying to get the aera as real as possible. Wink

Also I am using AFCAD 2.21 so if there is a newer version I would appreciate a link.

Thanks a lot,

Hi SHV,

I think you might want to investigate sbuilder 2.05 for this purpose. You can use the line function to lay a VTP style road (like the default roads) which should follow the terrain.

I was thinking the same exact thing when I first started my car projects. But as you clearly said, the taxiways flatten out the hills [which is annoying].

Long ago in the FSX forum, we were discussing the new improvements of the roads in FSX. However, I'm more concerned about the bridges than the roads. If you can learn to make drivable brigdes, then you can do a lot of things in scenery development.

I'm curious how they'll make the new ATL runway/bridge. Wonder if it'll even be in FSX.
