Do you know what does it need for a new airlines to be able to fly in VATSIM? I beleve it is only adding the ICAO coce in VATSIM's list but I am not sure.

Well, I am not actually asking what is necessary to fly in VATSIM, I am flying in VATSIM for years now but I want to know what a new VA has to do so that their pilots can use the specific prefix in callsigns with the controllers understandign which is the airline.

Having spoken with a friend who is a CEO of a VA and very knowledgeable on Vatsim I can tell you the following;
You don't actually have to do anything, but as you originally assumed, if you add  your ICAO code to the Vatsim list then you should be recognised.
However you do need to be very careful not to use Realworld or already registered codes.
Its a good idea to put your callsign in the comments section of your Flightplan.
However you can not organise official VA fly-ins or such unless you have 10 pilots or more.

Good luck with your VA
