Thank you Brandon for your information. Heads up!

You see Richard this is a communitty of simmers and we all learn from each other for the benefit of all. In the Future if you find a new way of doing things please share it with us.

There is a good Britain scenery right in this Website that should be great for your Battle of Britain mission collection. I will look for it later and give  it to you.

Any advice accepted.I tried the site you linked me james and got a couple of nice lancasters which fly well but Im having a bit of trouble with them as AI.Guess I,ll just have a play around and see what I can come up with.As for scenery if you could let me know how to move it about Brandon I,ll give it a go. I've backed up my CFS2 incase of any problems so fire away.Richard
I used to adjust my CFS1 .air files in FREE Flight and always noted that the AI planes reacted differently. It was sometimes preferable to provide a seperate aircraft folder for the AI version. I don't know if it's applicable to CFS2 but, with two different planes recently, I found better compatibility with the same file folder if I adjusted using Single Mission. However, it still may be better to provide the seperate folder for AI and adjust the .air file accordingly (using & renaming the .air file from another satisfactorily working plane sometimes works, too).

Thanks for the advice H.I,ve got those lancs working fine now. They wouldnt drop there bombs to start with but seems fine after a bit of tweaking.Look forward to the BOB scenery james. The one Im using at the moment is russbob Battle of Britain campain scenery. It came as a three part download but I cant remember if it was off simviation or another site.Anyway I flew the missions, removed them and kept scenery installed. One problem with it is that the Thames is so wide that if you try to place tower bridge it just sits in the middle.Once again Im greatfull for any and all advice.Richard

Richard I"m sorry it as taken me long to answer you. I have been working all this time. I have been using this scenery for Britain that I like. It even has Dover cliff. This in no way implies that this is the only good Britain scenery available. There are several good ones out there. Just remember that when you activate or install a new scenery you have to deactivate the prvious one. Other wise the new one you have just activated will not work proprely. Try different ones and see wich one you like better.

Here the one I like:http://www.simviation.com/cfs2scenery13.htm

the developer name is Gary Burns. It comes with a self installer.

There are also two European Sea texture available.

There are many different Europen Texture and Mesh available as well.

Just go to this same Website and go to the Scenery section.

You can also go to  Netwings and Sim-outhouse sceneries section. There are sceneries available for basically most of the World. You can also add some of FS2002 sceneries as well. Its up to you.

Oceans and clouds are also included. There is a alternative Sun available as well.

Remember upgrade slowly. Do not do many upgrades at the same time. That could corrupt the program.

How to activate new sceneries:http://flug.hp.infoseek.co.jp/enghow.htm

I hope this information will help you

Thanks mate. The scenery I am using did infact come from simviatoin.I searched yesterday and found hundreds of planes and scenery items I,d saved on backup CD and several links I,d forgotten about.I also added ETO water texture from the north atlantic which gives that lovely grey effect.I read the tutorial you sent me on mission building and found it very interesting. As a rule because of the nature of the BOB I havent bothered setting any goals in my missions as the only real goal was to survive.Ive made my missions so as if you make it back in one piece youv,e completed the mission. But i run CFS utility on my desktop which allows me to select warp any time so didnt need events to generate warp.I may have to go back and add some events before sending you any missions. Thanks again for the help and keep it coming.I need all I can get.Richard

Richard please take your time. I Love the Battle of Britian,Its probably the most important single Battle of World war two. Its only rival was the Battle of Midway when it come to decisive Battle of World war two.

So you see I will never get bore of it. Its has always facinated me how this liitle Island Nation was to hold it self up against the Might of the Nazi Impire.

Just do not forget that there was also a great struggle across the other side of the World just as important as the beign fought in Europe.

When you put both of them together its when World war to becomes real facinating.

Remember the the British Army and Navy also parcipated in the Pacific war. They fought hard and well against a very formidible enemy.

Now lets go and defend Britain for the sake of Democracy. Let them say in a thousand years, This was the British Impire fines hour. It was!

Since you are developing this mission collection in honor of those who fought and died in that Battle of Britain. This was indeed their fines hour.

Do not forget as well that others fought side by side with the British people in those days. The Poles, Chechs and the Norwegians and many others.

Freedom has a high price but its darn worth it. Thank God there has always been brave men and women who have been willing to pay the price so the rest of us can enjoy it.

I do not mine helping you at all. I consider it a pleasure. Some day you will help me and perhaps other as well.Thats is what this community is all about. It comes from the love we feel for this Hooby.

More will be comming!

You make a good point about the war in the pacific james. My grandfathers brother was killed on the Repulse when it was sunk by the japanese off Singapore, but at the moment Im having enough trouble with this side of the world.I think in the future I would like to make some missions for the flying tigers, then move on to the Australians who defended against the enemy out of darwin.I was lucky enough as a boy to know one of them and he had some great stories to tell.On another note ,I,ve been on to SOH for that spitfire but it says no file found so I,ll wait till tommorow and try again. As for scenery I did in fact still have Malta and Calaise turned on in CFS2 but since disabling them my FRS have improved. Thanks again.Richard       .PS.You will be glad to know that in my little campain, where possible I have used the sqd numbers of several Polish and Czech units and tried to use some of the C sqds that were kept in reserve as backup.I,m trying to make it as historicaly acurate as I can but am limited by the amount of sqd skins I have for the spits, hurries, and defiants.Anyway,cheers.Richard.

You can fight for any side you want. It's darn good to have that freedom Smiley Whether you're intercepting German bombers over London at day or night, or in a Bf-109 trying to guard the bombers on their way to Britain, as Die Staffel says in his sig: 'Never let history get in the way of a good game.'

Of course you can fly the Hurricane, de Havilland Mosquito NF2 (the Blitz), Beaufighter (the Blitz), Bf-110, Ju-87, He-111, Ju-88, Do-17 and maybe even others as well in the BoB due to the aircraft making CFS2 has seen in the time.

Richarduk,

I'm sorry but I don't know much about Spits for CFS2. These days I only have much to do with the ETO 'Nacht über Festung Europa/Deutschland' (in German, Night over Fortress Europe/Germany) theatre.

Sorry I can't be of much help with Spitfires.

All I know is Akemi has some and YAS & Paul Rebuffat specialize in making them.

If you want to know anything about the developments of CFS2's ETO Night War project(s) please don't hesitate to ask me! Smiley

Hope to see you 'round SimV more,

Bombardier Smiley
