I think it's a collective nickname for all C-130s, but there is one (the Blue Angels one) which is always referred to as 'Fat Albert'.
Even so, it's a nickname for at least one C-130

I believe actually that the Beaufighter was Whispering death while the Corsair was Whistling Death.

I always liked the name Shagbat for the Supermarine Walrus. It was also known as the 'Steam Pigeon' & 'Flying Gas Ring'.
Ode to the Shagbat with apologies to Lewis Carroll
The time has come, the Walrus said, to talk of many things
Of pusher-screws and shagbats and strutted swept-back wings
I'm an aeronautical wonder and if that's not enough
I have wheels that I can land on, if the sea's too rough.

some that come to my mind for now:
B-1B: Bone
B-52: Buff
B-2: Budget Bomber
F-16: Viper
F-14: Cat
F-18: Bug
F-18F: Superbug
P-47: Jug
F-111: Aardvark
I think names such as Thunderbolt, Fighting Falcon, Strike Eagle,... aren't really nicknames. They are too official for that.
