I am sure this been brought up before but can someone please tell me how to configure my windows firewall so that I am able to download files from this site !!  I am running windows XP service pack 2 fully updated.  If I disable firewall the file goes through so I know that is where my problem is.  Thank you  Paul

Windows Firewall is usually not the one that's blocking the downloads. It's usually the possibility that you have a different firewall operating [like Norton Firewall] or your browser [either IE or Firefox] might be blocking it.

To set up your browser to allow downloads try the following:

For Internet Explorer [IE]:

Go to > Tools > Internet Options > Security tab > Custom Level button > Scroll to where it says "Downloads" > Check "Enable" for "File Download".

As for Firefox, it should let you download by default.

Thanks for the response Katahu.  I set Internet explorer like you said and still no luck.  I diasabled Norton A/V and worm blocker and tried again.  No luck I then turned everything back on and then I went and disabled windows firewall.  Download works.  With the firewal on I am getting a page not found error.  As soon as I turn firewall off the page comes up and download begins  I don not have any other firewalls besides the one that is with windows XP.  If you have any other ideas please let me know.   I do know I am able to download files from another site without any problems.    Thanks   Paul

Hmf. I have the EXACT same problem...
A couple days back I could download fine... no need to turn off anything. Then sudenly downloading from SimV goes haywire.  If anybody has any suggestions as to how i can download without risking my PCs safety it would be much apreciated.
