Hi frenchbuck.  I can't think of anything that would cause your problem. It would be helpful to know if you just installed CFS2 or it was working OK & this suddenly started happening.

You should be able to uninstall CFS2 by inserting CD-1 & selecting Add/Remove or by running UNINSTAL.EXE in the CFS2 root folder. Either should give you this option screen.


I don't know if that will fix the problem but it might be worth trying. If you have addon aircraft installed try the Reinstall option from the CD first, not Uninstall. Check the "Recopy existing files from media?" box to replace all default files from the CD.

PS. It could be a sound card problem. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed.

In my experience all programs have occasionally Hickups. This is basicaly a PC oriented general problem. No matter how good a program or PC may be. It on occasions run into some kind of snafu.

The best way to fix it is either by reinstalling it like Hadgar suggested or have a back that is recently working well and copy and paste over the folder you are using to run CFS2.

Believe me I have many problems this way. I also suggest that if you have enough hard drive space to always backup every thing with a backup CFS2 Folder.

That should fix your problem.

The best way in my opinion is to follow Hadgar instrucion on how to reinstall.

Caution: this reinstall will effect your for basic scenery. It will activate the original World scenery. So if you are Stiz or someone elses as your basic scenery. Please back it up. Then copy and paste back on World Scenery Folder. Everything else including your add on planes should show up. Just be careful to to follow the instructions. Its easier than it sound. Do not be afraid and do it and you will see what I mean.
