I was wondering if anyone could help me I would go about connecting to this WSpilots sever thats apparently being used on Saturday night for the airshow. Sorry to push early but I dont want to find myself stuck on Saturday night.
I know how to do standard IP multiplayer already.
Thanks in advance Smiley

Hiya, Steve. This is a tute that Cspyro sent me. Smiley

You're running XP, yes?

First, you need to open the relelvant ports "23456", "23457" and "23458". To do so, click "Control Panel => Windows Firewall => Exceptions."

To open the ports, click "Add Port." Call it "WSP 23456 Oceania 2", and the port number is 23456.

Do the same with another one, except this one should be called "WSP 23457 WT", and the prot number is "23457".

1 more, call it "WSP 23458 Antarctica" and the port number is "23458".

The names of the servers may vary, if they do, edit the name of the port.
Ports, well, they just give you more access to transer info (like MP sessions) via the internet!

To connect to a server, load up FS9 and click the Multiplayer tab. Click "Open Multiplayer Session", and in the box that says "IP Address", enter WSP's IP Address for their servers, which is "66.147.177.125" or something like that, I can't quite remember.
Yuo should see the server "Oceania 2" appear in the server list, as it uses the default port (23456). To change which ports you open, click "Client Settings" and it should come up with 2 settings, one for the client port and one for the host port. If you are connecting to a server, you are a client, if you are hosting a server, well, you are a host!  (The host's port determines the port number of the server.)
Depending on which server you want to fly on (Oceania 2 23456, WT 23457 or Antarctica 23458 ) you must change the port in the "Client port" box to 2345* (* means whichever one you want to put in.)

Then, select the server, click join, and hey presto! MP works!!
(Sometimes you may not be able to connect - full server, busy server or otherwise.)

Simple enough?
If you have any other MP-related questions, I can try to help you.  (pyro, not Rimshot. Smiley

Herein lies the problem ................ ONLY OPEN THE PORT FOR THE SESSION YOU WANT TO JOIN >>>>>>otherwise you dump others out of the session.

I assume that is the same for any router you are using aswell as the Windows firewall?
