Okay...will DX10 work with video cards such as mine? And will DX10 be compatible with XP? I want to know this because I am not in the mood of getting a new rig...and especially not in the mood of getting rid of my Video Card Smiley Undecided

DX10 will work with you current video card. Just as direct x 9 will work on a dx8 card. But to see directX10 effects you will have to have a direct X 10 compliant video card. That is why I have decided to wait for the first wave of DX10 compliant cards before I update my 9800pro.

Yes your DX9 card will not have DX10 acceleration but will run DX9 stuff just like usual with DX10.

I also will be waiting for DX10 cards to come out before upgrading to a whole new system.

My system:Intel Q6600@3.6GHz, Corsair XMS2 4GB DDR2-6400 (4-4-4-12-1T) , Sapphire 7850 OC 2BG 920/5000, X-Fi Fatality, Corsair AX 750, 7 Pro x64

I doubt that I will upgrade anything for FSX.  Since I am going to college in 2007, I will be stuck playing FS on a laptop.  Ill probably wait till FSXV (15) before I do any serious changes lol
