I bought UNE (Ultimate Night Environment), and I have to admit that to my eyes, it appeared to be pretty cack... Needless to say, I don't like it that much... Embarrassed

Anyone else agree with me?

...large cities with that thing is alittle cack, but once you get out into the rural enviroment, it becomes jaw dropping Smiley

Rural environments are ok, yes... but major urban places, i.e. large cities and the like look very blurry, and the guide advises you to change the zoom to x0.50... hell no.  Grin

Not enough color, its all too bright, and the edging is too hard.

UT's night textures are far better

I couldn't agree more; unfortunately the dratted thing has overwritten those night textures... and I can't bloody get rid of em...

I did the same thing and did not like them.

I contacted Ronald, the owner and he emailed me the original textures.

Then I had to re-install my Ultimate Terrain.   Tongue

Because Ultimate Night does not come close to Ultimate terrain in terms of realism!

It boils down to some who like and some who dont.

As I stated, I found them a bit too bright and linear colorwise. A bit more than polished 18k gold at night would have been easier on the eyes to me, and like Dave said, which I agree with, I think UT adds better night lighting (though in some areas this one could be brighter)
