Just got round to watching the new Cream DVD I got for christmas and I must say that it is one of the best live DVD's I've seen. It's all about the music not the show. It's a shame though as I had a chance to go to this gig at the Albert Hall but I wasn't such a fan then, I regret not accepting the invitation now.

Clapton is awesome throughout although his guitar style is alot more relaxed now than it was in the old Cream days. There is some truly mind boggling stuff on N.S.U. and Stormy Monday. There's no shredding or anything gimmicky but just truly solid blues from Old Slowhand that no-one could replicate.

The stars of the show for me though are Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. The best Jazz/Blues rhythnm section I know of. They just carry the songs along and complete Cream. Jack Bruce's voice has matured as well and become more rich.

Get it is my advice if you like your blues with a psychadelic edge.

Cream: one of my favs of all time. I saw the reunion concerts 3 times on PBS (the edited PBS version, I would imagine) and will eventually get the DVD.  It was just so great to see them back together again.  The overall performance format was exactly right, just playing and entertaining a very appreciative audience.  They played here twice in the late '60's, once at a small venue in Miami Beach on what I "think" was their first U.S. tour, then on their farewell tour.  Missed both, had gigs those nights.
