First payware in FS9? (Read 826 times)

I've owned FS98, FS2000, and FS2002 and most of them didn't appeal to me much since I get tired of it and it fades away.

But when FS9 came out, I got it for Christmas '04, and that's when it was a major change with the graphics and everything.
Got bored of the stupid cheap looking planes M$ provided with FS9, discovered MelJet 777's and then went downloading it like crazy Wink

After that, I started getting payware stuff for it and it keeps getting better!

In order:

Active Camera Pro
MegaScenery New York
PSS 777-200LR
Aerosoft Scenery Manhattan

The next payware stuff I'll be getting very soon are:

ActiveSky 6
AlphaSim F-117A
PMDG Queen of the Skies 747

I like it so much that I built a custom computer that the case looks like a jet engine with the intake fan!
3.2Ghz Intel
1 GB of hyper RAM
10,000 RPM 74 gig WD Raptor HD SATA setup (can go RAID anytime)
6800Ultra Nvidia 256MB PCI-E video card
500 watts power supply
2 flat screen monitors dual setup

And FS9.1 is ONLY the thing installed on the comp, no other crap.  It has a Wi-Fi antenna on top of the case for downloading live weather and installer vertifcation, that's it.

I have 2 other comps to use other things at the same time such as the net.

Life is good  8) Grin

What's your payware list?

I first started with the Aeroworx B200, which I find out of all the payware I own, the most realistic airplane ever.  I also own:
-Aerial Foundry F-18
-Aerosoft Beaver
-Aerosoft Katana
-PMDG 737-600/700 and now the 800/900 as well
-Carenado C182RG (Probably became one of my most favorite single props)
-FSNavigator (Though Id recommend either FSBuild or the freeware Flight Sim Commander over this program when the price is that high personally, but in some ways its nice to have it around).
-Level D 767

I think thats all in order  Grin

Cheers,
RB

My list is as follows:

PMDG Beech 1900C

And this next one is starting to piss me off.  I ordered the MAAM Sim DC-3 8 days ago, and it has not arrived yet.  I asked over in MAAM support forums how long it should take, and one of the team members sent me a link to download the plane, just the plane.  Although Im happy about that, I am extremely frustrated that it is taking so long for my package to arrive.  I dont live very far from Reading, it should only take a day to get here, but now, its been 8.  MAAM is really starting to piss me off, and Im almost regretting buying from them.

My first payware was the PMDG 737-600/700NG Boxed Version.

As for the payware I have now:
-Realair Marchetti
-Realair Spitfire
-Carenado Cessna 182RG
-Carenado Beech Mentor
-Level D Simulations 767-300ER
-PMDG 747-400 Queen of the skies
-PMDG 737-600/700NG (boxed edition)
-Aerosoft Canary Islands (boxed edition)
-Just Flight A340 Professional (boxed edition)
-Captainsim 707 and Captainsim C-130H

Thats about it, maybe one or two I forgot to mention. But I think that apart from the Feelthere 777 due for release soon and maybe the PMDG MD-11 I wont be buying any more untill Flight Simulator X, which I cant wait for! Smiley

PS I also got a new system for FS (im traditionally a consoles gamer), but in my case to be prepped for FS10.

Check the siggy.  Wink

Mine took a few weeks to get here, I too was getting worried but contacted Mr. Beaumont to see if he could see what the hold up was. After that it was just a few days.

Must remember it is comming from a museum, which have few employees, but I feel buying it anywhere else to be a shame, this way you know that your purchase is going to go directly to the place it is supporting and that is keeping the wonderful aircraft available for all to see Wink

I think that they make the cds on a made to order basis.

Trust me it is well worth the wait, and beats all the rest of this payware silly, lol.

Also recommend the B25

LOL John...its been quite the timid list for the past 6 months or so. I have gotten less payware since I initially lost my job to today than I had bought in some weeks when I had cash flow.

Playing financial catch up stinks. I see great payware come and go, and sit there helplessly LOL. My list may be long but it definitely hit a brick wall
