i went to this airport today to sent of a frend and having spent several houres there waiting for his flight to leave in heavy snow with 3/4 mile visibility.the terminal in realife is much difirent than in fs 2004 and this is the airport i use the most in fs 2004 and i was wondering if there was a program that would allow me to add buildings to the airport. I have afcad but i dont think it adds buildings. are there any tools that i could use to do that. that wouldent require a degree in computer sciences

You are correct AFCAD will not add buildings. You could use RWY 12 or simple object placer (or something like that).
There are a few other programs out there as well most are freeware. You can even look here at simv just look in the scenery design section. 8)

Searching Google for KBDL - Bradley Airport, Windsor Locks, CT Phil Chimbolo bdl2005_v1-00.zip found one FS9 scenery requiring copious amounts of Rwy12 Libraries.

Searching SimV found none.

With RW12 you can (I believe) make objects which you can then put into FS, in any case there is bradley scenery at http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=bradley&CatID=fs2004scen&Go=Searc...

RWY 12 is a program that allows you to add scenery to your FS9 world by using a pre-built library of scenery objects.  So if you already have RWY 12 and someone else designs scenery for BDL using RWY 12, everything should show up as FS9 will be able to place the new scenery objects on the airport using the objects in the RWY 12 library.

If you don't have RWY 12 then you won't see anything different since FS9 will not have the required scenery objects in an available library to pull them from.  Does that make sense ?

Some folks make their own scenery objects using programs like GMax to design the buildings and terminals.  Those packages don't require anything else since the objects are built as part of the scenery package.

A RWY 12 scenery package simply tells your version of RWY 12, which pre-built scenery object to use and where to place them.

So if a scenery package is built using RWY 12 object placer and you don't have RWY 12, you're out of luck.

You could also try "EZ-Scenery" by Abacus if you don't mind spending a little $$. The latest version is 1.3, I have it and really enjoy it. Just go here to check it out
