The two best airports i've found are Liverpool and Glasgow Prestwick. On the whole though, decent UK stuff is thin on the ground as as the payware stuff seems to have it covered.

The SimV mesh definitely improves the UK (as with most other places) which can be downloaded from http://www.simviation.com/fsdterrainsrtm.htm. Make sure you download the terrain map, in order to know which files to download!

Also, airport wise, there are some great sceneries at http://www.ukscenerydesign.co.uk/Home.htm. Some of the best I have seen for the UK. And I know theres an RAF Lyneham scenery somewhere, too. Have a search around the major sites, it comes complete with everything (including custom AI).

Look for RAF Benson, RAF Lyneham or if you like civil Airports London Stansted. Do a search here at Sim V.

When you have installed your favourite UK Scenery mesh, just beware what can happen to your airfields... Shocked...!
This is my local airfield Shobdon EGBS, buried up to it's arm-pits in the new mesh with most of it's objects; fuel pump, tower, hangars, buildings, etc, missing... Shocked...!
