Mind you I was getting bloody bored after 6 minutes of mindless shredding lol. The battle was kind of cool but it's hardly inventive writing. I still rate Geddy Lee as the best bassist of all time, he has the skill but he's not too flashy. No-one has the same panache as him or is as inventive.

Still I've never seen tapping like that on a bass before, he must have some groovy pickups to get that sustain. Oh well I better get some more practice in heh.

Cool video.
Billy Sheehan is good at what he does, which is playing the bass using flashy guitar techniques, it's really not all that original and he is probably the best at doing that sort of thing, but then again there are not a whole lot of bass players out there that have any reason to tap out a 100 notes per second other than to show off.
 Personally I prefer Les Claypool or Flea when it comes to bassist's.
