Love the poster!  Grin

Of course the map would have to show the yard backing onto the Dulux spray can factory...

Being the military man that I am, I decided to make some free-handed brush marks with colors that match my wing patch. What do you guys think?

Nice one!  You even kept the weathering on yours, particularly around the engines - I took the easy route and just went for large areas of flat colour.

You can see the patch on the tail. A bit distorted by the way the MS developers applied the textures.

You must have discovered that the tail fairing uses the same patch of colour as the engine nacelles - you can't paint one without painting the other.  C'mon Microsoft, there was unused space on the bitmap that could have been used for that.

Can I just stick with red & white for all of my planes? (#27) - the same as my Extra for the first race.

Cheers,

TSC.

That's the idea - whatever paint job you have applies to all three planes.  Changing from red to blue to yellow in the same race would just be too much hassle and confusion.  Better to pick your team colours and stick with them all season (the first race they were just randomly assigned, that doesn't really count).
