Once again posting Embarrassed...

I've been posting a lot recently, so I'll respond to any comments on the previous sets in a post below this...

Well, anyway, have been eagerly getting stuck into Vista Australis... this time the great Western portion... outback, bush, desert....

I expunged FSAtmosphere from my system to see if the dawn/sunset textures looked any better... here's one of their "Sunset flights" using their textures alone....

...

I just love the reds of the desert textures, but there's not just reds...  Shocked

...

This is a large lake in a still arid part of the north-west....

...

Is this Australia?

...

No, it's part of Colorado, with the texture switcher still set to "Central Australia" -  wouldn't look nice in the UK but here it looks... interesting at least Smiley Of course, you can switch the textures back to normal again...

I hope Shocked

Ohhhhh..................haven't tried that yet Cheesy

Will cross that bridge when I come to it, still got to try out the tropical north.

I then installed Flight Environment and filled the sky with a very uncharacteristic amount of clouds to create the fairytale outback of my dreams... Roll Eyes Cheesy

...

...and then went for the full-on Flight Environment Update 2 mind-frazzling chemical nightmare freakout treatment....

...

What are they on at FE HQ?

...

Off into the sunset...

...

Loving Vista Australis Smiley

Hope you liked the pics!

Cheers

Thanks for the comments on the 1st 2 sets!

I'm not getting a lot of time to come in here... no lunch breaks at work now I'm on holiday! So sorry for not stopping by other people's shots/responding as much as I'd like, should rectify this next week... back to work (groan).

I'm still not sure on the impact of the package on the rest of the world after "Un-Vozzing" the textures. Everything should return to normal, they say. Hmmm...

Yes, Dave, as Omag says you need to download the programme for the switcher... I found I already had it, its quick and painless to download if you don't, but who needs another programmelet floating around, 'tis true....

Beat you to it Rimshot? Muahahahaaa... hence the 'hurried' aspect Wink

Yep Omag, I've downloaded all the Andy Weir mesh, haven't managed to install them all yet though.....Man, that guy is prolific. I downloaded NZ and PNG and some Pacific islands too while I was at it... the phattest files are the South American ones though, 24 downloads, each about 60 or 70 meg. Oof... but even now my aquisitive little fingers are greedily twitching...I wantssss it, I doessss.

Stratosaurus, I don't think it affects frames particularly, though the mesh might a bit if you use that... I had some interesting results with Golden Wings textures...it made them browner I believe...

Thanks again for your comments and looking in here too, opinions on these shots/package welcome!

Very cool and beautiful screenies  Smiley

Now Australia is actually the only continent I've never flown in. I've been flying since FS98 and never ever sat my foot in a virtual cockpit on Aussie soil  Grin

Thanks a lot for the comments! Cheers for the complement Rimshot, though I'm sure it's not true! Go and post some, I'm just shallowly skipping over the surface and would love to see more... Smiley
