well CFS3 was on the shelf for....ummmm ages big disapointment when it first came out.Played the rest IL2 /Pacific fighters....cfs2/cfs1.Somehow i got back into it..probably because i got it to run properly[get rid of the trees etc to get your frame rates up..or buy a new puter].Did not like the way it was made so it was so difficult to mod[Microsoft....look listen and learn....] we only buy these sims cos we like to mod them....that is because you do a half ass job in the first place...take the money and run etc.
       CFS3 seems to me an amalgam of the original CFS and FighterAce 2.Bringing the concept of a dynamic campaign into the sim concept.For anyone who hasn`t seen this before load Fighter Ace2 forget to shoot the tanks then try to land.......
     Ah those were the days.....no joystick and trying to land a decidedly wooden hurricane while my home airfield was being overun.
     So where was i....oh yes....CFS3.Naff planes naff scenery[comparison with CFS2 and IL2[oleg the great]....and yet i have got back into it.Why....because the modders are at work and are making this into something worthwhile.avHistory`s planes.......brilliant..add on`s from Just flight and the nearly ready MAW.Take note Microsoft you could do a better job in the first place.......and with that i come to my finale......the Norden bombsight.
        What do we get in CFS3 the old cross hairs......the old cop out...Jane`s Attack Squadron much derided sim half baked unfinished....and yet a beautiful working Norden bombsight......B17 Mighty 8th.......the same......CFS3 not even a B17 in sight well except in AI.
     Time the guys making the money and living the lifestyle came up with the realism..........and paid a bit back to the guys who did it for real.
     This Sim will be good but only because of the guys who want it to be........not to Microsoft who put it out in the first place.
