I find this video quite entertaining. YOu see a nice takeoff, then suddenly, WHOOOSH! A bird streaks into the engine. The pilot definately handled himself well. Except for the 'oh shit' he kept very calm, which probably saved his life.

I think in such a situation, an occasional 'oh shit' would be perfectly acceptable.

Absolutely. It's the ones who scream and freeze you have to worry about
(I remember going "oh f***" when I came nose to nose with a kingair at 1,500')

I can tolerate a little obcenity, as long as the pilot doesn't forget his training.
If he has cussed, then forgot all he knew, it would be a different story.
