Greetings all,
I thought I would try my planes in CFS2 and I have found that I have to revert to size 7, but other than that, everything works really well.  The scasmed planes seem to have everything working including those pesky props.  I have to find a mission to test the landing gear of other planes in the squadron and see if the are down and will retract.

If these all work, I might just forget about doing my planes for CFS1 and make them straight for CFS2.

Here is the Bf109G6 I have designed for CFS1 shown in CFS2

...

Hope you like

Thanks

Other than sizing, anything you've made for CFS1 should work without much modification for CFS2. You may have used size 8, possibly 9, for CFS1 sizing. In the reverse, I've had to increase the siziing and modify the .air file's height/view info when incorporating a plane generated for CFS2 or FS2002 in CFS1.

Greetings,
Well, there is a lot to change in the DP file I have found out, and those dam break points are a pain.  However, It seems to work ok now and have tested it a lot.  No doubt someone will grizzle over it, but who knows, maybe someone might enjoy dogfighting them.

...

I figure I have to make 2 lots, one for CFS1 and one for CFS2

Thanks

That goes with the sizing change. They could actually edit the .dp file themselves just by enabling the CFS edit. The .air and .mdl are another matter.
Your basic polys look quite decent, howbeit, things differ somewhat depending upon the users video card.

Greetings all,

I have added my first CFS2 planes, a dogfight double, a Bf109K and a P-47D.  Please give me any feedback as I want to try and make them work well in CFS2.

I am going to upload my next dogfight double as a Gloster Meteor and a Me262.

Thanks

Greetings,
Well after some bug hunting and looking at all of the uploads of CFS2, I figured I might upload some planes that nobody has made, starting with the Bf110.
...

I will see what others I have that are not in CFS2 mode(perhaps a Ju87b or Gloster Meteor, and where would that be without a Me262?  Hmm, Maybe a F-80?)

Your Thoughts?

Thanks

Greetings,
Well, I have uploaded the Gloster Meteor Shocked and will see what the response is.
...

I know its not FSDS, but I want to get all the AF99 planes finished first.
Now I know that this would be good to have something with to dogfight it, so I am working on my Me262 Grin and should have it up soon.
...

I might even through in a P-80 if anyone is interested.

Thanks

Yes, thanks for still supporting CFS1.  I know its old but many of us still enjoy flying it.

By the way, thanks also for the Meteor and Stuka, they're great looking aircraft.  Hope to see the Ta-152 up soon!

Very cool indeed!

Die Staffel, have you made any blackish-greyish Bf-110s with radar antennae?

Also, any Me-262B-1 'nachtjäger' with Stag's Antlers or Naxos-Z? Smiley

A Ta-152 sounds very nice Smiley

If you need a DP done you can ask me Smiley

BTW: Which model is that Bf-110? An early nightfighter version? I have yet to upload my mod of a Ground Crew Bf-110! Smiley

Gute nachtjagd! Grin

Thanks, no I havent made adjustments to the Bf110C4(which the model is based on) as I ran out of parts.  I also looked at the Me-262B 'nachtjager' but as I said, I want to get all my exisiting planes up before any changes.

I have a TA152 for those who are interested, given time I will get it up as well. once I have worked out the bugs for it in CFS2(It wont load).

Thanks

Greetings,

Well I said I would upload a Ta152 for those who asked:
...
Tongue

Now the question is, what order should I work on the planes to upload?:-

P-80 Shooting Star
Ar234 Blitz night fighter
P-38J
P-38E
Typhoon
P-40E
P-40B
Bf-109G
Bf-109F
Mustang III(Malcolm Hood)
Hurricane IIB
Hurricane IIC
Fw190A4
Fw109A8/R1
Fw190D9
Yak3

Once these are made, then I shall see whether I retire from CFS1 and 2 or I might just make skins, or look for a new hobby like gardening? Sad

Maybe I might make some variants of some of the planes to keep my skills up. Roll Eyes

Anyway, please tell me in what order you guys would like me to build the planes to upload. ???

Thanks

Hey Die Staffel,

First of all, thanks for the Ta-152!  She's been a much overlooked aircraft for both CFS1 & 2.

As for the order of your releases, there's alot to work with, but lets start with the Focke-Wulfs:

FW-190D9 (How hard would it be to work her into a D13?)
FW-190A8/R1 (Give us some cannons!!  Lots of cannons!!)
Fw-190A4 (Since your working on Focke-Wulfs.)
Yak-3 (I remember her for the "Hart's War" addon*.)
P-38J ("Hart's War" strikes again!)
P-38E (One that should have been.)
Typhoon (Another good aircraft from "Hart's War".)
Ar-234 (To go along with your Meteor and Me-262.)
P-80 (To go along with the Ar-234.)
Me-109F (Again, one that should have been.)
Me-109G (So the Focke-Wulfs don't get lonely.)
Mustang III (For the Brits.)
P-40B (Bring on the African Korps!)
P-40E (Ditto)
Hurricane IIB (Ditto)
Hurricane IIC (Ditto)

And finally.....WHAT, NO JAPANESE AIRCRAFT!!! (Am I being "greedy"?)  I'm sure that had things gone as planned missions and aircraft for the Pacific would have come about.  But as it stands they were only to be pipe dreams.

*One of the best missions I've flown came from the "Hart's War" addon.  It had Allied fighters (American and Russian) mixing it up with Ta-152s.  The sky was full of fighters of all types!  It was a handful, but fun!!

If you should deceide to bag it all and take up gardening remember, its O.K. to talk to your plants, they like it.  But if they should start talking back its time to change your hobby.

Hi DieStaffel,

Take as much time as you like. It's great to see another designer coming into CFS2 and that can be shown to people who say nearly all the CFS2 devs and tweakers have been at it for years, still slaving away! Wink

There's been talk at SOH about a new Ju-87 at SimV. I suppose they like Smiley

OK....I guess that's the order I request:

Fw190A4
Fw109A8/R1
Fw190D9
Typhoon
Bf-109G
Bf-109F
P-40E
P-40B
Mustang III(Malcolm Hood)
Hurricane IIB
Hurricane IIC
P-80 Shooting Star
P-38J
P-38E
Ar234 Blitz night fighter

Instead of giving up CFS1 and 2 you could make more planes? That's if ya want to though. I'm not nagging for more, just a suggestion Wink

Urm............want any DPs done or are you ok? Smiley

Happy flying,

I like Bombadier101 like all world war two planes. Only if you like would you do Japanese planes and perhaps Italian as well.

I"m happy what you have done for us up to now. Its only a suggestion.

Thank you

Greetings,
Well after yesterdays big upload(8 CFS1 and CFS2 planes), I only have 9 more to go.  Now judging by the response to this post, nobody seems to be interested in CFS1 or 2 now, so there doesnt seem to be much point in pursuing new planes for CFS1 or 2 and perhaps I should focus on CFS3(once I buy it) and Gmax as the next tool.  However, If I go down that road, I might as well start looking for payware.  People dont seem to mind paying for planes.

Enjoy!

don't be turned off by the number of responses. There is probably only 4 or 5 people who visit this forum regularly, much like simhq.com. The brunt of the CFS2 hold outs are at sim-outhouse.

Good Hunting,
