ok this might be a stupid question, but where in the world is the localizer in the learjet? the glideslope is right next to the altitude but i just cant spot the localizer

you need to use the HSI guage (HORIZANTAL SITUATION INDICATOR) it displays the localizer as a glide slope.
The localizer is part of the ILS beam transmitted from the end of the run way outward and you must have a guage  capeable of picking this beam up in order to use it .
The lear uses the HSI guage for this but make sure you are in NAV mode not GPS mode are you will not receive the signal. 8)
