So it would be:

{url}http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/skysim%20banner.jpg{/url};

But turn the {} into [] - I just made them curly so you could see it.

You screwed up, this is what yours is:

[urlhttp://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/skysim%20banner.jpg/url]

See? between the url and http there is no ] and, after your url you also forgot the bracket AND it needs to read img instead of url

It SHOULD work now

{img}http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/skysim%20banner.jpg{/img};

Switch {} with []
