I recently downloaded FFXSGADC1-_Series-30 from simviation.
I have two great flying DC10 models in Swiss Air and FedEx.
However, when I throttle down after cruising for a medium to long period of time, the engines will throttle down slightly over a long period of time.
Any suggestions to fix?

OK - this difficult in English - I try.

Older jet [real plane] have heater for intake. Engine have sensor[?]. De-ice heat wing and engine. If no heat engine, it push [surge]. Engine confused, venturi frozen. Maybe FS work same way? No? Yes? Maybe. OK?

Is bad for fighter. It hit mountain. Engine surge. OK?

I think what Drakma is trying to say is that in the real world jet engines have a sensor that monitors air intake and if that sensor should freze up it can cause false readings on the instrument gauge. I am not sure if FS2002 took that into effect and actualy simulate it. But a frozen or cloged pitot tube can cause false readings as well and fs does model that effect so make sure your pitot heat is on some panels do not have this gauge so you need to either add one or use the keystroke for this function, if one is assigned if not than make an assigment.
