Whirlybirds is actually quite horrible.

I have the "Military aviation" and "Civil aviation" Abacus multipacks published by Easy Computing.

Afterwards I had this feeling of having been ripped off...  Undecided

However, the carriers in Flightdeck III, arrcab, and WWII carrier ops made it all worthwile...

+ there is a pretty decent A380 model included in the "Civil aviation" pack, for which the exterior is superior to the wilco A380, trust me.  Wink

Flight Deck III is their best product, but they are generally rubbish... If you are into "softcore" simming, alphasim is more like it...

WW2 Carrier Ops, of course, is the ABSOLUTE BEST product that Abacus has out... FSDS is a close second..

That Hellcat is a freaking work of art!1

I remember their Corporate Pilot collection for FS-2000.  Since then they haven't made anything even close to that one.  I spoke with an Abacus employee at Avsim Convention 2003 @ KRDG (MAAM) in Reading and he admited that Abacus purposely went the way of mass produced low to medium quality add-ons to be marketed in the software stores that the average novice simmer would be interested in to just jump in and fly about.  The hardcore simmer is way above their target customer base.  It's a darn shame.

I'd comment on the Hellcat in WWII Carrier Ops...but it's the only plane Abacus doesn't want to show on the website.  Embarrassed

In all likelyhood, it's just a clerical error.

What they do show I can almost identify as to designer, the names are all well known members of the community.

Abacus F6F-3

Hmmm - actually, the basic model is mine, finished by Massimo Taccoli and flight dynamics by Dennis Seeley.

I'm having a hard time believing you had anything to do with that Felix...

Not a twisted poly to be seen! Cheesy

Seriously,

Good job!

I've not released much, but I've been talking to you and the crowd at that "other" site (Free Flight Design Shop) since AF99 days...finally get to see something from one of the masters. Smiley

Fooled ya good, didn't I?

Just remember, it was the basic model that I did.  Massimo (who's done a number of models for Abacus, also) teaked it to look good, plus he did the VC.
