Audi have been producing superb diesel engines for a while now, as have BMW & Mercedes.
I'd like to see that R10 in action, I think its more of a concept car than a reality- I'd like to be proved wrong however!
The output of that engine will make for a seriously quick car! I await its debut on the "Top Gear" test track....
The only "R" Series I'm interested in ,however, is my prospective new truck.... 8)
I'm looking to change job soon,my prospective employer has a new fleet of Scania "R Series" vehicles.
The 16-litre V8 Euro 4 engine produces 620 hp (456 kW) at 1900 r/min and 3000 Nm of torque between 1100 and 1400 r/min
I hope you guys realise the above truck is designed to pull weights of upto 180tonnes! consider , for a moment, the performance of that Audi with a power to weight ratio thats a tiny fraction of the truck....
