I expect they'll put "The Great Escape" on for the umpteenth time. I never figured out what connection that has with Christmas. Roll Eyes

One I always liked was an old black & white film with James Stewart in the leading role but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. ??? Cheesy

Nah, they can stick their holiday TV schedules as far as I'm concerned. Might watch the Two Ronnies though.

Ah Thanks. A Wonderful Life with good ol' Jimmy Stewart. That's the one & a true classic. They don't seem to make 'em like that any more.

At first I thought you meant this one. Wonderful Life starring Cliff Richard & the Shadows. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000695KB/203-7174086-6688734
I can't remember what it was like but I must have seen it at least once. Not as well-known as his other films Expresso Bongo, The Young Ones & Summer Holiday & you Yanks have probably never heard of him.  He might be considered old hat now but Cliff Richard was a rock 'n roller in those days & I was a big fan. Not much of a film star though.
