AN IDEA: MP BASEPACK! (Read 295 times)

Maybe I wasn't the first one to try this but I was thinking.
It is always hard to decide planes in a inplanned MP flight since not everyone has te same planes.
So My idea is that we should decide on 10 plane packages or something like that which should make a nice package for all to have for MP flight's. That way you can add more variation to the MP flights than the default and the overly used seafires ( even though that is a beauty!)
So my entries:
1. AH Seafire
2. AH Me-109
3. AH Hawker Hurricane
4. Dave Eckerts Stearman Package
5. DSB Hawk T1 Package (loadsa variations in that one)
6. Soko Galeb package
7. Coral F-15 V2 Package
8. DSB F-5 packages
9. Maule M-7 ( all versions?)
10 Bill lyons Tiger moth (basically all lyons stuff is excellent)
Just an idea....though What do you think of it?

That's an excellent idea.
However, when it comes to online sessions, frame rates become a factor. If you had 10 people with high-quality Seafires, your processor will be put under stress due to the added polygons to render, even though you have a powerful cable connection.
I am thinking more along the lines of the following.
1. Reno Racers combined with the great variety of repaints.
2. AH Bf109 [already frame-rate friendly]
3. The now-available CFS2 fighters that have been modified for FS9 [very frame-rate friendly - along with nice dynamics and variety]

Do you have any idea how LARGE a download of the 10 most used planes would be?
I still think that all that should be done is tel uswhat you are gonna fly, that way, if someone wants to see it, they can download it. Don't complain if your not willing to go get the planes.

and keep in mind that some people may have slower computers and opt not to install those highly intensive aircraft. As stupid as this may sound it saves a lot of frames when the guy sitting next to him on the ramp in the pmdg 737 shows up as a stock 737..
