First "Flight-Type" game I had was called something like "F-15 Strike Eagle" put out by MicroProse. You had to fly missions and bomb targets without getting knocked out by a sam. It was actually pretty cool. Played it on an old Commodore we had in the Shop on The Nimitz. Before that was something called "Sonic Fury". Wasn't even a sim. You hooked up the console to the TV and shot down jet with a light gun. Roll Eyes

My First FS was "FlightSimulator" for the Sinclair ZX81
Followed by the same title for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum.

Later, I bought a BBC Micro and played Acornsofts "Aviator" to death.

Here I am, still loving FS, albeit on a slightly better computer....  Grin

And I still crash on most landing attempts!  Embarrassed

My first was SU27 Flanker. The predecessor to Flanker 2.0.

As it was Falcon 4 complicated it took me months to figure out even how to fire the guns. After that it was only a matter of weeks before I could use some of the missiles and even then I never figured out how to use BVR missiles or antiship weapons or laser guided stuff or even to land which I think I only ever managed to do once. ok here goes...showing my age I guess.
My first flight sim was actually for the appleII e. It wasI think Microsft Flight simulator 2.  not sure if microsoft actually published it.
Then I got a tiny comp called the Timex T1000.  The programs had to be loaded from tape and I only got it to work once.  It was painfully obvious that whoever programmed it had never flown an airplane hisself.
went on to fs4 and chuck yeager's xplane game...fs4 was cool cause it had a tool to design and fly an aircraft...i wasted an entire year of data class plying those games while the teacher wasn't looking.  Jet fighter 2 was cool cause it had an f16 and f/a18...
Played falcon 2.0 a couple of times when i was in the military but got out of pc games for a few years...when i picked it back up it was yeagers combat flight sim whatever that was called... loved the dog fights...
my vote for best game ever though was Tornado... The mission building and toss bombing were my favorite parts.
Got out of pcs again for a few years.  Bought fs95 in 1999 bought fs 98 in 2001 bought fs2004 as soon as it came out.
I got LOMAC for christmas and havent opened it yet cause right now i'm hooked on strike fighters project 1...
oh yeah... i forgot x-plane, search and rescue 2, a huey simulator, a harrier sim, and probably about 5 or 10 other titles
